A Little of Our History

The Rayner family purchased Hill House Farm in the 1940s, running it as a dairy farm until the late 1980s, when the dairy was sold off but the main farmhouse and brick barns were retained.

Nick and Catherine ran a B&B for 17 years before concentrating on self-catering holidays. They currently have a few private horses and a couple of spare stables for guests to bring their own horses on holiday.   Nick and his son, Will, have the Agricultural and Amenity Contracting Business, so for the tractor mad child, they can still see the tractors and machinery going out to work each day!

Catherine grew up in West Sussex and moved to Cheshire in the late 1990s when she met and married Nick, who was actually born in one of the farmhouse bedrooms!

Catherine studied horses at college and ran her own riding school and livery yard before she moved to Cheshire. She now only ride for pleasure and to escort their daughter.
